Tyler Palko NFL Draft Bio

Tyler Palko (born August 9, 1983 in Madison, Wisconsin) is an American football quarterback. He is currently the starting quarterback for the University of Pittsburgh Panthers.

High school career
Palko attended West Allegheny High School in western Pennsylvania. Palko was the Associated Press 2001 Pennsylvania Big School Player of the Year at West Allegheny. He was a USA Today All-America Team (second team) and three-time Pittsburgh Post-Gazette WPIAL Class AAA Player of the Year.

College career
Palko plays for the University of Pittsburgh football team, where he leads the Panthers. He is in his third year as a starter. His passing total of 5,472 yards ranks fifth all-time at Pitt.

2007 NFL Draft

According to ESPN, Palko is to be a sixth round draft pick in the 2007 NFL Draft He also stated in a press conference with WPXI, Pittsburgh's top news source, that he would like to either go to the Houston Texans or stay at Heinz Field with the Pittsburgh Steelers However, in an interview with KDKA, Palko stated: "I would love to stay in Pittsburgh, but Wisconsin is the place I would love to play in, with all the history there, the legendary owners, not to mention Vince Lombardi, and the great Brett Favre, who I can hopefully learn from on the bench and play just like him
