Martin is a player that was disappointing to scout because he was a four-year starting left tackle at a major Division I college program, but he is no doubt a limited athlete who lacks the tools to start at left tackle in the NFL. Because of his lack of athleticism, height and long arms, Martin's best chance for success in the NFL is at center, where his smarts, instincts and awareness will help him make up for his lack of athletic ability. While he is not a top athlete, he is quick enough to get through to the second level to block linebackers decently when he does not have to adjust a lot in space. He does a good job of making seal run blocks and can drive his man down the line of scrimmage on down/side blocks
