Derek Stanley NFL Draft Bio

Derek Stanley (born 27 August 1985 in Madison, Wisconsin) is an gridiron football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater.

Stanley attended Verona Area High School and was a student and a letterman in football, basketball, and track. In football, he was a two-time All-Area selection and was twice named as an All-Conference selection. The Wisconsin State Journal named Stanley Wisconsin's high school football player of the year in 2002, after he amassed more than 2,000 yards rushing in his senior season at Verona Area High School.

He played wide receiver at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. Stanley was a track All-America and ran a reported 4.32 forty-yard dash.
