Jerod Mayo (born February 23, 1986 in Hampton, Virginia) is an American football linebacker for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. He was originally drafted by the Patriots tenth overall in the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Tennessee.

Mayo played high school football at Kecoughtan High School in Hampton. USC Forward O.J. Mayo is Jerod's second cousin.

College career
Mayo played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers and led the SEC in tackles with 140 in 2007.
