Joshua Wilson (born March 11, 1985 in Upper Marlboro, Maryland) is an American football player for the Seattle Seahawks. He played college football for the Maryland Terrapins.

Early Life
Josh Wilson earned his scholarship at Maryland by becoming a two-year varsity starter at wide receiver and cornerback in high school, in addition to returning kicks and punts. The 2003 graduate at DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, was named first-team all-state, first-team All-Met, first-team all-WCAC, and first-team all-Prince George's County. Wilson was also named George Michael's "Golden 11" all-star team and was a SuperPrep all-region selection. He was versatile player who had five interceptions and was also his team's leading receiver with 27 catches, 694 yards, six touchdowns as a senior.

College Career
As a freshman in 2003, Wilson saw action in 11 games, third-most among all true-freshman. He finished the season with two solo tackles, both against The Citadel.

In his sophomore season in 2004, Wilson saw action in 11 games again, starting the last four. Wilson finished the season with 27 tackles (13 solo), two pass breakups and five QB hurries. He also tied for second in the ACC and second on the team with two forced fumbles. He was also tied for third on the team with the four hurries. His fourth and final start of the season saw him recording three tackles, along with a key block in a Steve Suter punt return in the third quarter. Against Wake Forest, he laid a hard hit on receiver Nate Morton to ensure the incompletion on the last play of the game. Against Virginia, Wilson notched seven solo tackles and forced a fumble against Alvin Pearman. Against Florida State, he forced a key incompletion when he blitzed and hit quarterback Wyatt Sexton. Against Northern Illinois University, Wilson forced a fumble on a kickoff that led to a Maryland touchdown.

In 2005, as a junior, Wilson started all 11 games at boundary corner. Wilson ended the season with 73 tackles, fourth on the team. He also recorded an interception. Wilson blocked two punts against North Carolina State also, with an interception too. Against Boston College, Wilson recovered a 4th quarter fumble in Maryland territory. Against Virginia Tech, Wilson sacked the agile Marcus Vick for an 8-yard loss and force fourth down. Against Wake Forest, Wilson started at safety and recorded his first career touchdown on a 20-yard fumble return. In the West Virginia game, Wilson recorded 11 tackles and a sack on Adam Bednarik. He also broke up a deep pass to Brandon Myles.

In his final season, 2006, Wilson started all 13 games and was honorable mention all-ACC as one of the nation's top cornerbacks. Wilson recorded 55 tackles, seventh on the team, and set the single-season school record for return yards with 847 yards. In the bowl game against Purdue, Wilson picked off a key pass for the game-sealing interception. He was named ACC Defensive Player of the Week against Clemson and broke up Virginia's 2-point conversion pass to win the game. Wilson silenced the Georgia Tech crowd with his 100-yard kick return for a score in the first quarter. Against Florida International University, he tackled the ballcarrier on the five-yard line to prevent the game-tying score. In the William & Mary game, he blocked a punt as well.
