Team awards
2006 Michigan football team co-MVP with Mike Hart Senior Bowl North Team Wednesday Practice Report: David Harris has helped himself this week by showing the strength as an interior run plugger and surprising fluidity to the outside. He shows good instincts in coverage, but lacks the top flight change of direction to remain stuck to receivers. Still, he was always in the right place at the right time and would likely lead the team in tackles through the first three days of practice if such statistics were kept.

Played at the Senior Bowl and performed well, impressing by reading a blowing up a screen pass … Stout against the run … Has good size and build, although did lose 10lbs during the offseason in 2006 … Could possibly play inside in the TED role on a 3-4 team if he put the weight back on … Productive tackler … 18 tackles against Minnesota in 2005 … Recorded 7 tackles for loss, 3 pass breakups, 1 sack, 2 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 2005 … Blocked a field goal in overtime win against Iowa in 2005 … Stock has risen after a solid Senior year … Questionable coverage skills … Good leadership … Good, but not great athlete … Reads plays well … Good performance in the showdown with Ohio State, displaying range out to the sideline, hitting and blitzing … Two good blitzes up the middle led to incompletions, one on a third down … Batted a ball into the air for an interception … Had a big hit on a Troy Smith keeper and then followed it up with another big hit on RB at the sideline … Was swallowed up by blockers on Pittman TD run and was lucky not to be called for roughing the passer in the second half … ESPN rated him as a third or fourth round pick after Senior Bowl week
