Jesse Mahelona is an explosive penetrator who excels at making plays in opponents backfields. He's an outstanding pass rusher and is very quick and a good athlete. Jesse shows pretty good strength and has great instincts and locates the ball well.

Jesse Mahelona has only average size and needs to continue to get bigger or he will get pushed around and will not hold up real well versus the run. Mahelona is not really a great tackler and struggles head-to-head against massive offensive linemen. He will focus too much on rushing the passer at times and does not shed blocks well.
