Humes had a complete workout at the Combine, running two 40s in 4.61 and 4.75. He had a 30½-inch vertical jump, an 8-foot-10 long jump, a 7.06 three-cone drill and did 18 lifts. Humes played running back and linebacker in high school and also lettered in basketball and track. He rushed for 1,640 yards and 22 TDs as a senior.
