Bennett is no doubt athletic enough to be tried as a defensive end in the NFL, but as he is under-sized, thin-framed, and was not consistently productive as a defensive end at Clemson, his best chance of success in the NFL is as a weakside linebacker. His quick feet, acceleration and playing speed make him ideal to chase down plays from the backside as an outside linebacker, and to cover tight ends in man-to-man coverage.
