Nate Salley has excellent size and a solid frame. He is tough, physical and a big hitter who can deliver the knockout blow. Nate is a hard worker, a feisty personality and plays with an attitude. Nate Salley is a very smart player and a team leader who is experienced and is a three-year starter in the Big 10.

Nate Salley can be too aggressive at times getting out of position and will miss a lot of tackles while going for the big hit. Nate Salley lacks elite speed, does not have great range and really struggles in coverage. Salley has questionable ball skills and might only be a situational guy at the next level.

Nate Salley is more of an in-the-box and run support safety. Nate doesn't have all the physical tools you look for but his intangibles help make up for it. Nate Salley might never be an every down performer but could excel in a run stopping role and on special teams.
