Rob Sims NFL Draft Bio

Sims is a well built offensive lineman with the long arms and natural strength. He does a good job of driving defensive linemen down the line of scrimmage on down and side blocks. Sims has the feet and agility to slide well side to side in a small area to adjust to quick pass-rush moves and can switch off well with the other offensive linemen vs. defensive line stunts/loops.

Rob Sims does not play as aggressively as one would like for his size. Sims has trouble blocking out his man at times. Rob pass blocks straight legged and up high and tends to keep his arms / hands at his side, allowing the defensive lineman to get into his chest and drive him backward. He is not an explosive run blocker, but rather a stand, grab and push positional blocker who struggles to get movement.
