Derek Hagan has solid size. Derek is a smart and cagey receiver who just knows how to get open. Hagan runs decent routes and is more quick than fast. Derek Hagan is very tough and will lay his body on the line. Derek Hagan never gives up on a play and does a solid job of running after the catch. Good vision and adjusts well to bad throws. Derek Hagan is an overachiever who gets the most out of his ability. Has been very productive and does everything well but nothing great.

Derek Hagan does not have great pure speed and isn’t a deep threat. Lacks concentration and has been known to drop some very catchable passes and hands are somewhat questionable...May have trouble separating from pro defensive backs. Derek Hagan is not a great blocker. Derek Hagan does not work the middle of the field much. Lacks upside at the next level.

Derek Hagan was an excellent college receiver whose best days as a prospect might be behind him due to his lack of ideal physical tools. Might make a decent #2 receiver in the pros but to expect much more from him is probably being a little too optimistic.
