Dusty Dvoracek NFL Draft Bio

Dvoracek has very good quickness off the ball. Dvoracek is a super-tough player who consistently has shown a willingness to play through painful injuries. Important plays, he has shown a knack for bursting off the ball, driving through an offensive lineman's shoulder and makes/disrupts plays in the backfield. His overall production is very consistent, but he is limited due to athleticism in certain areas. He is always the first defensive lineman moving and can get into the backfield to disrupt plays. After you watch only a handful of snaps, it is clear as day that he is a tremendous team player who never stops hustling and competing to make plays.

Dvoracek is a limited athlete. Dvoracek is a straight-line athlete who lacks the agility and hips to change directions and chase down plays in the other direction. Lacks the true explosiveness and playing speed to make plays outside the offensive tackles. Limited # pass-rush moves. Cannot split an tackle-guard gap. Struggles to get any pressure on the quarterback. Struggles to consistently shed blocks and get free to make plays. Overall, he is a straight-line athlete, but has the foot quickness to make up for it in certain areas and consistently gets off the ball very quickly.

Dvoracek is a well-built defensive tackle. He has a thick frame with a solid lower body and very thick arms. His toughness and all-out competitiveness will enable him to be a very durable NFL player who also will lead teammates to play through pain more consistently. While he is not a naturally explosive player in terms of chasing down ball carriers, his instincts and quick feet do give an explosive burst off the ball. He consistently is the first defensive lineman moving at the snap and gets on top of the offensive lineman fast. He has very good playing strength to drive his blocker back into the quarterback's lap and can stack the point of attack against one-on-one run blocks, although he does not shed and get free consistently quick to make the tackle on inside runs.
