Tony Scheffler is a tall tight end with the athleticism, playing speed and hands needed to make plays as a receiver. He is not explosive off the ball, but once he gets moving, he accelerates to full speed fast and has the playing speed to get down the seam and can get separation from defenders. Scheffler's natural strength will allow him to be a good run blocker (when he blocks aggressively). Despite his speed and stength, Tony Scheffler does not play up to his potential. He is not an aggressive blocker and his man gets involved and disrupts too many plays.
