Whitner is extremely physical and is an excellent tackler. Donte is considered by many to be a playmaker that has a nose for the ball and has the unique ability to come up with the big play. Donte possess a great instinct for the game and has sure hands that allow him to pick off passes and come away with interception. Donte Whitner also possesses good pass rushing skills off the blitz. Donte has top intangibles and is a leader on the field.
