Daryn Colledge #62 prospect in 2006 NFL Draft.

Daryn Colledge NFL Draft Bio

Daryn Colledge has a good solid frame and should be able to add some weight and muscle. Daryn is a technically sound player who not only excels at pass blocking but he is masterful. Daryn Colledge is an excellent athlete with great quickness who moves extremely well for a bigger man. Colledgeas plays the game with a nasty demeanor on the field and plays right up until the whistle is blown. Daryn is strong, powerful, hard working and desires to be a great NFL player. He continually out performs his teammates in the weight room, and works hard to improve all the time. For a college player he already has a lot of experience and consistently grades out very well. Daryn Colledge is very mature and has top intangibles, and still has some upside.

Daryn Colledge is a big man who needs to get even bigger to make an impact in the NFL Daryn has not performed well as a run blocker and needs to show improvement in this area. At times Daryn Colledge struggles with massive defenders and can get pushed back as he doesn’t have the weight needed. Even though he has a lot of experience he is still a developing player who needs to polish his game. Colledge needs to work on the techniques of the tackle position as he doesn't always play with proper leverage and knee bend. Scouts worry that even though he has good numbers he has not played against enough elite competition to project how he might perform at the next level.

Daryn Colledge is a little known recruit from North Pole, Alaska who entered college at 235 lbs. He was a very raw prospect coming out of high school and did not play football as a sophomore or junior. Once he started his college career he never missed a start. Daryn Colledge is a bit of a project player who has all of the physical gifts and natural ability to play at in the NFL. Some might think drafting him early is a bit of a gamble, but his tremendous upside suggest he will be gone by the end of the second round of the 2006 NFL draft.
