Abdul Hodge #56 prospect in 2006 NFL Draft.

Abdul Hodge NFL Draft Bio

Abdul Hodge is a very quick, very strong, very athletic inside linebacker who can hit like a ton of bricks. Hodge has been very productive player throughout his career. Abdul is a solid tackler who has great instincts, and works hard on every play. Abdul Hodge is a prospect who has those top intangibles and gravitates toward the action and is always in the play. Even at a young age Abdul displays solid technique and demonstrates his smarts as a team leader.

Ideally you would like to see Abdul Hodge a little bit taller to play the inside linebacker position in the NFL. Abdul needs to do a better job in coverage, and does not look real fluid when dropping back on pass plays. Scouts wonder if he will be as affective against taking on blocks in the NFL as he was in college. Abdul Hodge may not play as well against some of the bigger players in the league.

Abdul Hodge is mature for his age, already having a young daughter to take care of. His brother, Elijah is a freshman line backer at Wisconsin and by all accounts is doing well. Other than a lack of size, it is difficult for scouts to find any glaring weaknesses in Abdule Hodge’s game. Abdul is an excellent prospect with the perfect mix of physical tools and collegiate production. Expect Abdul to be selected in the 2006 NFL draft no later then the second round.
