Joseph Addai has excellent timed speed with quick feet and a great burst. Joseph is a strong patient runner who hits the line hard and runs with power. He has decent agility, good balance and is strong enough to slip past would be tacklers. Addai has good hands and decent instincts which allow him to be an outstanding receiver out of the backfield. Joseph Addai can find a seem in the defense or hit a hole hole and runs north and south. Addai is also pretty good helping the pass protection as he is a very good blocker. At the college level Joseph was always productive and made the most of his chances. Joseph Addai is a hard worker and team leader with top notch intangibles.Addai possesses those top notch skills and still has a lot of upside and potential.

Joseph Addai is only of average size and may never be able to take his power game into the NFL. Joseph lacks experience as he never carried the load in college and always split time with others. Being a power runner, Addai is not very imaginative and doesn't have a lot of moves or wiggle to fool defenders. Another concern that might scare scouts away is his durability, Addai was sidelined with minor ailments throughout his career and had a torn ACL in '01.

Interesting prospect who only got a chance to start as a senior due to injuries. Joseph Addai has been underrated for most of his career and could end up being better in the pros than he was in college with more playing time. Joseph Addai is a player who does everything well and will find a role at the pro level whether it be as a starter or situational player. Should find himself drafted late in the second round or early in the third.
