Ashton Youboty is a Corner who has excellent size. He is a solid athlete who has decent footwork, fluid hips to transition and decent strength. Ashton has good ball skills and very solid hands for picking off passes and getting the interception. Youboty is physical player who is a solid tackler. He has developed his skills in a great program which has a fantastic record of producing top pro cornerbacks in recent history. Youboty is an intelligent player who learned his trade in practice every day by going up against Santonio Holmes and Ted Ginn. Ashton still has a lot of upside and potential.

Ashton Youboty has been known to give up the big play vertically and really will need to focus on correcting this as a pro. Inconsistent play will result in periods where he looks lost and out of position. Ashton needs to bulk up his 6-1 frame, get stronger and play a little bigger in the NFL. Though he is a tremendous talent he has lacked starting experience and is still a little raw. Youboty will need some coaching and development to excel at the pro game. He doesn’t always play hard and use his talent and ability.

The next great Buckeye cornerback following in the long shadows of guys like Antoine Winfield, Shawn Springs, Nate Clements and Chris Gamble. Ashton Youboty is of Liberian descent. Everything suggests that Ashton would seem to have all the physical tools to be a #1 cover man in the NFL Expect Ashton Youboty to go high in the 2006 NFL draft and most likely in the first round.
