Mario Williams #4 prospect in 2006 NFL Draft.

Mario Williams NFL Draft Bio

And the first pick in the 2006 NFL Entry Draft is.... Mario Williams!

Houston Texans select Mario Williams 1st overall in the 2006 NFL Entry Draft!

Elite Prospect!

Mario is an exceptional natural athlete with rare ability. Mario has very good speed, quickness and strength, making him an outstanding pass rusher who can dominate the game. Mario has great range and can make plays all over the field. Mario Williams became more productive as college career wore on. Mario is extremely good now, but we feel that he still has a lot more to give before reaching his full potential.

At times Mario seems to lack motivation and can be a little inconsistent in his play. We needs to see Mario up his intensity on every play if he wishes to play at the NFL level. At times Mario lacks the natural instincts of his position and will need to work on his technique to master the subtleties of the NFL game. Mario has plenty of pure talent and will need to hone his techniques before he can play in the NFL.

Mario finished his junior season with 13 sacks and 23.5 tackles which resulted in lost yardage. He is the best defensive prospect to enter the draft in a number of years with the potential of being an elite pass rusher. Mario is projected, with a little work on his game, to be on of the best players in the NFL at a very difficult position.
