Scotty McKnight NFL Draft Bio

Scotty McKnight (born February 11, 1988) is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the New York Jets in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at Colorado.

McKnight was born in Newport Beach, California. During his senior year at Tesoro High School, McKnight was nearly expelled after writing a journal entry for a class assignment that contained explicit death threats directed towards a teacher. McKnight did not deny the charges and conceded the entry was a lapse in judgement but, he did state that the matter was a misunderstanding. McKnight was suspended by the school while an investigation was conducted and he missed the football team's final eight games of the season.

McKnight was a walk-on at the University of Colorado. He finished his career there with the school's all-time records for receiving touchdowns and receptions. He finished with 215 catches, 2,521 yards, and 22 receiving touchdowns.
