Sam Young NFL Draft Bio

Sam Young (born June 24, 1987) is an American football offensive tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Notre Dame.

Young made Notre Dame history becoming the first true freshman to start the season opener on the offensive line since freshmen became eligible in 1972. He was named 2006 first team Freshman All-American by The Sporting News. In total, Young made 50 consecutive starts on the offensive line, mostly at right tackle.
