Stampeders crush Ticats in season opener

The Calgary Stampeders opened their 2007 CFL campaign with a 37-9 thrashing of the visiting Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday. Local product Rob Cote scored his first touchdown in his first CFL game, while the Stamps also got majors from Jermaine Chatman, Nik Lewis and Joffrey Reynolds. Calgary quarterback Henry Burris completed 17 of 26 pass attempts for 230 yards and two touchdowns.
