Spartanburg – Saturday night, the Panthers moved their inside Gibbs Stadium at Wofford College for their 4th practice of fall camp. The team worked out for just over two hours with several thousand fans on hand to watch the session. However, head coach Matt Rhule was not pleased with some of his younger players for what he called going to the ground to frequently and doing things that can get you beat on Sunday’s.

Jackson’s contract option was declined March 15; he would have counted $13.8 million toward the salary cap. Seahawks Sign QB Sean Mannion

The Seahawks have added some depth to their backup quarterback competition behind incumbent starter Russell Wilson. Signed by Seattle on Saturday, six-year veteran Sean Mannion is expected to directly compete with Geno Smith over the next month for the chance to serve as Wilson's backup, as first reported by Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Mannion worked out for the Seahawks on July 26, right before the start of training camp.
