Raheem Mostert rushed for a franchise-record 220 yards and scored four touchdowns, and the San Francisco 49ers pummeled the Green Bay Packers on both sides of the ball to notch a 37-20 victory on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game at Santa Clara, Calif. Mostert's historic showing was part of a dominating performance, as San Francisco reached the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2012 season and the seventh time overall. The 49ers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV in Miami on Feb. 2.

The Packers still have a lot of work to do, but they've gotten themselves back onto the radar screen in the fourth quarter of the NFC Championship Game. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers hit rookie tight end Jace Sternberger for an eight-yard touchdown with just over eight minutes left in the game to cut the 49ers' lead to 34-20. It was Rodgers' second touchdown pass of the half and it came a couple of plays after he dropped a beautiful throw into Davante Adams' hands for a 65-yard gain.

49ers running back Tevin Coleman injures right shoulder

(AP) -- 49ers running back Tevin Coleman was carted off the field in the second quarter of the NFC championship game Sunday with a right shoulder injury and was listed as out for the remainder of the game. Coleman came up hurt at the end of a 4-yard run and left the game at the 9:32 mark of the second quarter against the Green Bay Packers after being tackled by safety Adrian Amos. San Francisco scored a touchdown the next play to take a 17-0 lead, a 9-yard run by Raheem Mostert for his TD rush of the game.

The Houston Texans fired senior vice president of football administration Chris Olsen on Sunday, according to a report from the Houston Chronicle. Olsen spent the past 13 years with the Texans and managed the team's salary cap as part of his most recent role. He was a powerful figure in the front office, as the organization announced last June that Olsen was in charge of football operations on an interim basis after general manager Brian Gaine was fired.
