In the Bears, Alshon Jeffery will find a familiar foe. Could that be exactly what the embattled wideout needs?

Thursday, October 31st, 2019

Not only did Jeffery spend the first five seasons of his career in Chicago - amassing 304 catches, 4,549 yards and 26 touchdowns over 63 games with the team - he also was chief among the non-Cody Parkey related reasons behind the Eagles' upset victory over the Bears in the 2019 NFC Wild Card game. In that game, Jeffery led the Eagles in receptions (six), yards (82) and targets (nine), came up with a number of timely snags and spent a significant portion of the game chirping at the Chicago sideline in between plays: "I love the city of Philadelphia.

The San Francisco 49ers preserved their perfect NFL record with a 28-25 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday. San Francisco spooked Arizona at University of Phoenix Stadium on Halloween to stay undefeated and improve to 8-0. Thursday, October 31st, 2019

The Patriots lead the NFL in points allowed per game (7.6) and have scored as many defensive touchdowns as they have allowed: four. We'll see how good they are once we play them,'' Ravens tight end Nick Boyle said. I don't think they've seen anything like our offense or like Lamar.

Thursday, October 31st, 2019

If Jimmy Garoppolo's gonna be this good, the rest of the NFL is in real trouble. The San Francisco quarterback, taking full advantage of new target Emmanuel Sanders, sliced and diced the Arizona Cardinals defense on Halloween to send the 49ers to an 8-0 start with a 28-25 victory. It was a breakout night for Garoppolo, who threw for a career-high four touchdowns while completing 28-of-37 pass attempts for 317 yards.

Is the 2019 Patriots defense on the same level as the 2000 Ravens?

Thursday, October 31st, 2019

Tom E. Curran and our brethren at NBC Sports Boston posed the question many have been asking recently: Do the 2019 New England Patriots boast the greatest defense of all-time? Obviously, it's an impossible question to answer halfway through the season. It won't even be easy to answer at the end of the year, as it's difficult to compare teams across different eras.

49ers linebacker Kwon Alexander ruled out with chest injury

Thursday, October 31st, 2019

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Kwon Alexander was ruled out for the remainder of Thursday night's game with the Arizona Cardinals due to a chest injury. Alexander left the game in the fourth quarter and was ruled out shortly thereafter. While the 49ers seemingly avoided injury scares to tight end George Kittle and defensive tackle Arik Armstead early in the game, the loss of Alexander would be a blow for a 49ers defense that has been impressive over the first half of the season.
