Moonlight Trainor lead Canada to rugby gold

John Moonlight and Conor Trainor each scored two tries as Canada edged Argentina 26-24 to win the gold medal in mens rugby sevens at the Pan American Games on Sunday.

Smyth sparks red hot Oilers to 5th straight win

Ryan Smyth had a pair of goals as the Edmonton Oilers won their fifth game in a row, slamming the St. Louis Blues 4-2 on Sunday. Shawn Horcoff and Jordan Eberle also scored for the Oilers (7-2-2), who improved to 6-1-1 at home and moved back into first place in the Western Conference with the win.

A quick peruse online showed a single seat in the upper deck of the Rogers Centre for Sundays Bills Toronto series game between Buffalo and Washington cost around $150 for the privilege. Thats three times what Bills or Skins fans would normally pay at home. And a Canadian Football League game? Low price for an Argos ducat is $22.

Canada dominates World Cup short track in Quebec

Charles Hamelin led a Canadian sweep in the mens 1,000 metres Sunday in a World Cup short-track speedskating event. Hamelin, from Sainte-Julie, Quebec, won in one minute 28.748 seconds. Michael Gilday was second, followed by Olivier Jean.

Giants hold off winless Dolphins NFL roundup

Stamps top Alouettes for 3 way tie in CFL West

Johnny Forzani and Jon Cornish each scored a pair of touchdowns and Drew Tate improved to 2-0 as a starter as the Calgary Stampeders downed the Montreal Alouettes 32-27 on Sunday to move into a three-way tie for first place in the CFL West Division.
