Rouleau solid at the CPGA Women s Champs

Marie-Josee Rouleau is in position to win her second straight Canadian PGA Womens Championship. The native of St. Lambert, Que., shot a 5-under 67 at the Ladies Golf Club of Toronto on Tuesday and leads Seema Sadeker of Stouffville, Ont., by one stroke.

Cowboys Glenn out 2 weeks after surgery

Dallas Cowboys receiver Terry Glenn had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Tuesday, the same day Terrell Owens got a break from practice to rest his sore hamstring. While an MRI showed no serious damage after Glenn hurt his knee in practice Sunday, the decision was made to have the procedure after he kept having pain. He is expected to be out about two weeks.

Raiders ink Culpepper to one year deal

Phillies place Victorino Bourn on DL

The Philadelphia Phillies placed Shane Victorino and Michael Bourn on the 15-day disabled list after both outfielders were injured in the teams 4-1 over the Cubs on Monday. Victorino left after the fourth inning, when he suffered a right calf strain running out a ground ball. He was replaced by Bourn, who fell awkwardly on the bullpen mound while chasing down a foul ball with two outs in the fifth inning.

Police found drugs at Rod Beck s home

Police found evidence of cocaine and drug paraphernalia at former major-league pitcher Rod Becks home on the day he died. A police report released Tuesday indicated evidence in several places at Becks house, including the bathroom and the master bedroom in which the 38-year-old Beck, a three-time all-star who saved 286 games, was found dead at his Phoenix home on June 23.

TFC lose Dichio for up to a month

Danny Dichio, who spent years crafting his skills in Englands Premier League, is expected to miss at least three weeks, likely more, with a pulled hip flexor muscle. Dichio, equal part striker and enforcer, has been battling various injuries since arriving in Major League Soccer, but until now hes been able to play.

Fujikawa set to make pro debut

Cowboys WR Glenn to undergo knee surgery

The Dallas Cowboys announced that wide receiver Terry Glenn will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Glenn left practice early on Sunday and has missed the last two days of practice. The 33-year-old has a tiny cyst on the back of his right kneecap.

Mets place Beltran on disabled list

The New York Mets placed outfielder Carlos Beltran on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday. The move is retroactive to July 25. Beltran, 30, was scratched from last Wednesdays 6-3 victory over the Pirates after straining his left abdominal muscle during batting practice. He missed the next five games. He is batting .263 with 19 homers and 62 RBI in 96 games.

Trembley to remain Orioles manager

Andy MacPhail, president of baseball operations for the Baltimore Orioles, announced Tuesday that Dave Trembley will remain as manager of the team through the end of the season. On June 18, the Orioles named Trembley interim manager, replacing the fired Sam Perlozzo. Trembley had served as bullpen and bench coach for the Orioles this season.
