Michigan State - Ohio State Getting Even Action Many top-ranked teams in the preseason polls have suffered early losses sending them tumbling from the Top 5 and in some cases the Top 25 altogether.

But while the usual top-ranked suspects have been dropping like flies, the South Florida Bulls have been passing them going in the opposite direction, first rising to prominence after a major 21-13 upset win against then No. 5 West Virginia, where the Bulls covered as a 7-point favorite.

Merely one of the "other teams receiving votes" at the outset of the NCAA football season, South Florida has made a slow and steady climb and is currently ranked No. 2 not only in the AP poll, but in the just released BCS Standings as well.

The next road block, or speed bump on the Bulls' journey to the BCS title game is the Rutgers Scarlet Knights-who at one time, fittingly enough, were ranked as high as 10.

The two teams take to the field at Rutgers Stadium in New Jersey on Thursday night, with the Scarlet Knights listed as a 2-point underdog and the total set at 52.

Bettors at SPORTSBETTING.COM are lining up behind USF in this nationally televised matchup, as the small favorite is seeing 88% of the wagering volume.

The most anticipated game of the weekend for many is the Michigan State - Ohio State meeting.

No. 1 seeds haven't fared well in recent weeks so you might be wary wagering on the Ohio State Buckeyes in this matchup against a Big Ten rival.

Ohio State easily covered the 14-point spread in its last meeting against the Spartans, hanging 38 points on them in a 38-7 victory.

This time around, there is a similar line set with the Buckeyes favored by 17-points.

The early action on this one is reasonably even, with both teams getting support. Ohio State can boast a small edge, as they are receiving 55% of the volume overall.

Florida at Kentucky

Although name's like West Virginia's Pat White and Louisville's Brian Brohm were early considerations for the Heisman Trophy, Kentucky's Andre Woodson is currently the hot pick and the odds-on favorite on SPORTSBETTING.COM's Heisman Trophy futures list, at +300.

However, there are more immediate concerns for the Kentucky Wildcats as they get set to host SEC East rival Florida.

The Wildcats managed to cover as a 26˝-point road underdog in a 26-7 loss to Florida the last time the two met.

Heading into this year's matchup Kentucky is listed as a 7-point home underdog, with 60% of the betting public wagering on Florida.

Dog Bites

Which underdogs are getting most of the action this week?

Texas A&M travels to Lincoln, Nebraska to play the Cornhuskers; is listed as a 2-point underdog and is seeing 70% of the action.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have decided to bench Jimmy Clausen and start Evan Sharpley at QB in their game against USC. Although they are listed as a 17-point underdog they are seeing an impressive 75% of the volume on this one.

LSU went into last weekend as the No. 1 team and failed to cover as a 10-point favorite in a 43-37 loss to Kentucky. They are once again listed as a favorite, this time by 10˝-points against Auburn, but it is Auburn that is seeing a majority of the betting action with 66% of the bets.
