Former Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan was back at team headquarters on Saturday -- his first visit to a practice session there since his firing in 2008 by then-owner Pat Bowlen. The winningest coach in franchise history, with a 146-91 record that included playoff competition capped by two Super Bowl titles in 14 seasons with Denver, checked out the Broncos' morning practice at UCHealth Training Center in Englewood, Colo. "I was glad to have Mike here," Broncos coach Vic Fangio said.

Devin White, one of five unsigned first-rounders, agrees to rookie deal with Buccaneers

Nearly three months after being selected fifth overall, linebacker Devin White agreed to terms with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on his rookie deal, the team announced Saturday. Bush was one of five unsigned first-round picks, joined by fellow first-rounders Nick Bosa, Quinnen Williams, Daniel Jones and Brian Burns. The timing is especially key since Bucs training camp begins on Thursday — with rookies reporting Sunday — and unsigned players may not participate.

Research shows Washington, three other teams have seen sharp decline in attendance since 2008

Washington down over 30 percent This week, the website 24/7 Wall Street published an evaluation of attendance figures from the 2008-18 seasons. Using numbers from ESPN, the site looked at which teams across all pro sports saw the biggest decline in home attendance from 2008 to last year, highlighting the 12 with the largest losses. Not surprisingly, Washington has seen the biggest difference over the last decade among NFL teams in terms of percentage of capacity.

Via Thomas Bassinger of the Tampa Bay Times, Bucs tight end O.J. Howard shared on social media a shot of himself playing a video game, with his avatar wearing the uniforms the Bucs wore during the 2002 Super Bowl run. Howard's crime against the apostrophe is nothing compared to Bucs' against fashion. Other players, including left tackle Donovan Smith, have asked to go back even further into history, to the old creamsicle orange beauties.

The Buccaneers know they have a big decision to make on quarterback Jameis Winston after this season. Specifically, new quarterbacks coach Clyde Christensen told Albert Breer of SI.com that he wasn't scared by Winston's 58 interceptions in his first four seasons. Christensen did some quick googling, and pointed out that Peyton Manning thew 81 picks his first four seasons, that Andrew Luck threw 55, and Cam Newton and Matthew Stafford threw 54 each.
