The New England Patriots on Monday officially signed a couple of free agent acquisitions -- wide receiver Dontrelle Inman and offensive lineman Jared Veldheer. To make room for the two veterans, the Patriots on Monday released two undrafted rookies in offensive lineman Calvin Anderson and wide receiver Xavier Ubosi. Inman, 30, caught 28 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns in nine games for the Indianapolis Colts last season.

Jaguars sign 5 tryout players following 3-day rookie camp

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed five tryout players, including two tight ends, following a three-day rookie minicamp Sunday. The Jaguars signed Central Florida tight end Michael Colubiale and Tulane tight end Charles Jones as well as Utah guard Jordan Agasiva, UNLV cornerback Jocquez Kalili and Georgia Southern safety Joshua Moon. To make room on the team's 90-man roster, Jacksonville waived tight end Carson Meier, cornerback Marquez Sanford and receiver Papi White.

2019 NFL Draft: All five Gators draft picks now under contract

All five former Florida Gators football players who were selected in the 2019 NFL Draft are now under contract, per numerous reports. Right tackle Jawaan Taylor, linebacker Vosean Joseph, and running back Jordan Scarlett signed with their respective clubs, the Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, and Carolina Panthers, on Thursday afternoon and through the evening. Safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson followed with the New Orleans Saints on Friday morning, and defensive end Jachai Polite signed with the New York Jets on Sunday morning.

Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Telvin Smith wants everyone to "stop going crazy" because he is stepping away from football for the 2019 season. Smith, the team's leading tackler the last two years, posted a video on his Instagram story Saturday in which he questioned the outrage over his decision. "Why is it so crazy I want to step away from the game?" Smith said.

Texans sign ex-Chargers S Addae

Former Los Angeles Chargers safety Jahleel Addae signed with the Houston Texans on Wednesday. The team has yet to announce the signing, but Addae posted on Instagram with an image of him signing at the Texans' facility. Addae, 29, started all 32 games over the last two seasons for the Chargers, making 171 tackles (10 for loss) and 10 pass breakups, but he was released in March.

NFL notebook: Lynch eyes possible return after Crowell injury

Meanwhile, NFL Network reports running back Marshawn Lynch is open to a return to the Raiders, if they're interested. ESPN reported last week that the 33-year-old Lynch planned to retire for the second time in his career, after sitting out 2016 and returning for the last two seasons with Oakland, his hometown team. It appears Oakland has already responded to Crowell's injury by going with someone else, as NFL Network reports the Raiders will re-sign free agent running Doug Martin, their leading rusher in 2018.
