The Jaguars activated veteran linebacker Jake Ryan from the non-football injury list Saturday. The team waived running back Tyler Ervin in a corresponding move. Jacksonville needs Ryan with backup linebacker Najee Goode on injured reserve with a knee injury and starter Myles Jack questionable with a knee injury.
With the running game expected to take centerstage in a rain-soaked M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, it appears the 49ers (10-1) will have an important weapon back in their arsenal. Running back Matt Breida, who has missed the last two games with an ankle injury, is expected to play against the Ravens, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported, citing a source. With rain expected throughout the day in Baltimore, the 49ers and Ravens (9-2) might have to lean heavily on their running backs.
The Detroit Lions placed quarterback Jeff Driskel on injured reserve, ending his season and putting rookie David Blough in line for his second start in Week 14. Driskel sat out a loss to Chicago on Thanksgiving because of a hamstring injury. The Lions lost their fifth consecutive game and are unsure of the status of regular starter Matthew Stafford, who has missed four consecutive games (hip, back).

It was awful. If you missed the Raiders 34-3 blowout loss to the New York Jets, you're one of the lucky ones. The team hopes to leave that behind them as they face the Chiefs in Kansas City, but the odds are not in their favor, and not just because Raiders quarterback Derek Carr struggles against them.
Washington Redskins president Bruce Allen's job could be in jeopardy as the team struggles through another down season, multiple outlets reported Saturday. NFL Network reported owner Dan Snyder is "truly evaluating" the job status of Allen "for the first time" since he joined the team in December of 2009. The Washington Post later reported that Snyder is planning a "complete evaluation" of the team after the season, which could include a "deeper assessment" of Allen's tenure than has occurred after previous seasons.
