Oilers rookie shatters leg in win

Edmonton Oilers rookie defenceman Taylor Fedun was taken off the ice on a stretcher after suffering an apparent leg injury early in the second period Friday night against the Minnesota Wild.

Yanks Tigers Game 1 suspended due to rain

The playoff opener between the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees has been suspended because of rain in the second inning, perhaps wiping out the ace of each pitching staff for a few days.

Rookie Moore Shoppach lift Rays in Game 1

Francona officially out as Red Sox manager

Florida police charge Ramirez with domestic violence

Florida prosecutors on Friday formally charged former World Series MVP Manny Ramirez with domestic violence. The retired slugger was arrested Sept. 13 after his wife told deputies Ramirez slapped her in the face.
