Ferriero nets OT winner as Sharks topple Wings

NFL reinstates lockout effective immediately

The NFL lockout is back. The league announced the news late Friday, hours after an appeals court victory. League spokesman Greg Aiello tells The Associated Press that teams have been told that the prior lockout rules are reinstated effective immediately.

St Pierre Shields talking big game at weigh in

Challenger Jake Shields was roundly booed at the UFC 129 weigh-in, giving the challenger a taste of what he can expect come fight night against welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre. The large crowd at the Ricoh Coliseum was chanting GSP before the California fighter even got off the scales at 169 pounds.

NFL lockout restored by appeals court

A federal appeals court threw the NFL back into chaos late Friday, granting the NFLs request to essentially put the lockout back in place. The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis granted the leagues bid for a temporary stay of a judges order lifting the lockout.
