Bruins centre Bergeron earns NHL s first star honours

Patrice Bergeron, Keith Yandle, and Pekka Rinne were named the NHLs three stars for the month of January. Bergeron earned first star honours after leading the league in scoring with 17 points in 14 games this month.

Canada s Harvey wins under 23 world x country title

Alex Harvey has won his first cross-country skiing world title. The native of St-Ferreol-les-Neiges, Que., skied to victory in the mens 30-kilometre pursuit race Monday at the under-23 world championships in Oetepaa, Estonia.

Raptors desperate to snap losing streak

Martin Luther King s son interested in Mets

The son of Martin Luther King Jr. is reportedly interested in becoming a minority owner of the New York Mets. The New York Post reported Sunday that Martin Luther King III is part of a bid that includes former Mets first baseman Ed Kranepool, Donn Clendenon Jr. and television executive Larry Meli. Clendenons father was MVP of the Mets 1969 World Series victory.

Djokovic humbles Murray to win Australian Open

Osasuna upsets Real Madrid in La Liga

Real Madrid fell seven points behind leader Barcelona in the Spanish league on Sunday after a 1-0 loss at Osasuna. Javier Camunas scored in the 62nd minute at Reyno de Navarra stadium.
