Olympic torch relay kicks off in Victoria

Simon Whitfield and Catriona Le May Doan, the first of 12,000 runners to carry the Olympic flame across Canada, have begun the 106-day, 45,000-kilometre relay leading up to the opening of the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver on Feb. 12.

Canucks riding Raycroft wave

The Vancouver Canucks can take a breath, for now. After beating the Los Angeles Kings in a 2-1 shootout win last night, despite losing all-star Luongo to an injury, the Canucks face the Anaheim Ducks tonight, a team thats won less than half as many games so far this season.
