Panthers storm back to stun Bruins in shootout

Mike Hoffman scored the game-winning goal in the shootout as the Florida Panthers rallied from 4-0 down in the third period to stun the host Boston Bruins 5-4 Tuesday night. Keith Yandle tied the score with 1:39 remaining in regulation, and Aaron Ekblad, Frank Vatrano and Hoffman also scored in the third as the Panthers won their second straight in a shootout. Sam Montembeault made 15 saves between the third period and overtime after taking over for an ineffective Sergei Bobrovsky.

Julian Edelman was fired up about Bruins’ win in season opener

The B's opened up their season with a 2-1 win over the Dallas Stars Thursday night thanks to goals by Brett Ritchie and Danton Heinen. Boston will be back in action again Saturday night at 9 p.m. ET against the Arizona Coyotes before facing the Vega Golden Knights on Tuesday. As for the Patriots, they'll look to stay perfect as they take on the struggling Washington Redskins Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on the road.
