Tannehill time? Titans have some Marcus Mariota questions after bad loss to Jaguars

Thursday, September 19th, 2019

Once upon a time, Marcus Mariota was a promising quarterback. Over an eight-game stretch in Mariota's second season with the Tennessee Titans, the former No. 2 overall pick of the draft had 2,073 yards, 21 touchdowns and three interceptions for a 117.7 passer rating. The player we saw on “Thursday Night Football,” being outplayed by rookie sixth-round pick Gardner Minshew in a 20-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, looked nothing like the Heisman Trophy winner with the Ducks or the promising second-year quarterback.

Ramsey on podcast says trade request stems from disrespect

Thursday, September 19th, 2019

In his first game since demanding a trade from the Jacksonville Jaguars, two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey jogged out of the tunnel and onto the field Thursday night to a smattering of cheers. And then it started raining. His future with the Jaguars has never been more muddled, especially with comments on the Uninterrupted ''17 Weeks'' podcast with Nate Burleson in which Ramsey said his trade request stemmed from ''some disrespectful things said on their end'' after the Jaguars' loss Sunday to Houston.

Thursday, September 19th, 2019

Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded but he will still be active for Thursday's NFL clash between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans. The Jaguars announced Ramsey's participation pre-game amid uncertainty over his future. Ramsey, who has asked to be moved, said he is still focusing on the week 3 game during Tuesday's news conference.

Bet the under on Titans vs. Jaguars

Thursday, September 19th, 2019

Yahoo Sports is partnering with The Action Network during the football season to bring you expert sports betting information and analysis. While certainly interesting off the field, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew has yet to earn the confidence of both oddsmakers and NFL bettors. In fact, tonight's Titans vs. Jaguars over/under is the lowest total for a “Thursday Night Football” matchup since … the these two teams played on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018 — that game closed at 36.5.

Rams, Browns looking to put together complete games

Wednesday, September 18th, 2019

The Los Angeles Rams know what it is like to be the NFL's flavor of the month, and in prime time Sunday night there will be plenty who will tune in to see if they symbolically pass the torch to the latest up-and-comer. The Cleveland Browns have not yet lived up to the hype they carried into the season, but they are coming off a victory over an overmatched New York Jets team Monday and will try to keep their stride against the Rams on Sunday in front of their own fans. The Browns were humbled at home 43-13 by the Tennessee Titans in Week 1, but took down the Jets 23-3 behind 161 receiving yards from Odell Beckham Jr. and 325 passing yards from quarterback Baker Mayfield, who insists the offense can be even better.

Jaguars’ Jalen Ramsey will play Thursday vs. Titans despite trade request

Wednesday, September 18th, 2019

Forty-eight hours after his request to be traded became public, Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey is confirmed to play Thursday night against the Tennessee Titans, head coach Doug Marrone said Wednesday. On Sunday, Ramsey and Marrone got into a sideline spat in Houston, with Ramsey reportedly unhappy that Marrone didn't challenge a catch by the Texans' DeAndre Hopkins. Reports surfaced Monday that the two-time Pro Bowler Ramsey had requested a trade.

Odell Beckham Jr. signs with watch company – and it’s one many of us can actually afford

Wednesday, September 18th, 2019

Odell Beckham Jr. raised a stir in Week 1 when he wore a Richard Mille watch with a retail price of almost $200,000 on the field during the Cleveland Browns' game with the Tennessee Titans. Beckham upped the ante on Monday night, wearing another Richard Mille – and this one was an exclusive, only one-of-10, handcrafted timepieces that sells for over $2 million. Watch me now: Timepiece brand Daniel Wellington announced a partnership with Odell Beckham Jr. on Wednesday.

Mariota: Trying to be aggressive part of issue for Titans

Tuesday, September 17th, 2019

Marcus Mariota has looked at the tape, and the Tennessee Titans quarterback is ready to move on. Up next is a quick turnaround with the Titans visiting Jacksonville on Thursday night, and a chance for Mariota and Tennessee to fix some of what went wrong in a 19-17 loss to Indianapolis. ''I love playing when the lights are on, and I look forward to these challenges,'' Mariota said Tuesday.

‘Monday Night Football’ Viewership Steady In Week 2 Compared With 2018

Tuesday, September 17th, 2019

There was just no fuel last night in the New York Jets as the Cleveland Browns took down their conference rivals 23-3 in the second week of ESPN's Monday Night Football. As Odell Beckham Jr. showed the Jets how it's done with an 89-yard career-long touchdown and  an eloquent one-handed grab earlier in the game, the Browns made it clear to everyone in FirstEnergy Stadium and watching at home that their season-opening loss to the Tennessee Titans might be a mere bump in what could be a glorious road this season. Not only did ESPN win the night in both cable and broadcast with that result, but the outlet actually saw a 1% uptick in audience over the comparable game last season.
