Celtics hold to big lead over the Heat

Paul Pierce scored 18 of his 27 points in the first quarter, Kevin Garnett added 23 and the NBA-leading Boston Celtics wasted most of a 28-point lead before beating the Miami Heat 95-85 on Friday night.

Gaborik notches OT winner over Blues

Marian Gaborik did it again. Gaboriks wrist shot with 2:39 to play in overtime gave the Minnesota Wild a 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Friday night.

Young Hawks roll over the Coyotes

Marlies lose in shootout

Steelers Holmes Polamalu likely out

Pittsburgh wide receiver Santonio Holmes will miss a second consecutive game because of a sprained ankle, and safety Troy Polamalu also is expected to sit out the Steelers game Sunday night against Cincinnati.

West goes Wild over the Hawks

The New Orleans Hornets like playing on the road this season. They like playing the Atlanta Hawks anywhere. David West had 22 points and 17 rebounds and the Hornets won for the eighth time in 10 road games this season, beating the turnover-plagued Hawks 92-86 on Friday night.

Knicks come back from 17 to beat Bucks

No questioning the Knicks effort on this night. Jamal Crawford made the go-ahead basket with 28 seconds left, and New York erased a 17-point deficit to beat the Milwaukee Bucks 91-88 on Friday.

Bargnani steps up big in win over Cavs

Andrea Bargnani poured in a career-best 26 points to lead the Toronto Raptors to a 91-82 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. Carlos Delfino added 24 points, also a career high, while Jose Calderon had 11 points and 10 assists for the Raptors (9-7), who were missing Chris Bosh, their leading scorer and rebounder.

Ginobili just too good against T Wolves
