Dallas Stars centre Mike Modano matched Phil Housley for the most points by an American-born NHL player, earning his 1,232nd point Wednesday night with an assist on Sergei Zubovs power-play goal against Chicago.
Modano, already the U.S. goal leader with 509, set up Zubovs goal at 10:07 of the third on a 5-on-3 advantage. The 37-year-old Michigan native has two goals and four assists in the first 12 games this season.
