Felix Sturm retained his WBA middleweight title Saturday after recording a unanimous decision over the previously unbeaten Noe Tulio Gonzalez Alcoba at the Porsche Arena.
It was the first successful defense for Sturm (28-2, 12 KOs) in his second term as the WBA champion. He won on each the judges scorecards - 116-112, 120-108 and 118-110.
