The Toronto Blue Jays moved right-hander Josh Towers back into the starting rotation Thursday after designating Tomo Ohka for assignment.
Towers, in the final season of a US$5.2-million, two-year deal, began 2007 in the rotation but was pulled after winning just one of his four starts. Hes pitched sparingly out of the bullpen since and is 2-3 with a 5.15 earned-run average in 10 games overall.
