After a Singh mistake, Kenny Perry played it safe on the 18th to win his eighth career tournament.
Current PGA Tour News
Kenny Perry lost a three shot lead in just three holes on Sunday but still managed to win the Bay Hill Invitational when Vijay Singh, using his 7 iron, knocked his shot into the water on the 18th hole.
With Vijay in the water, Perry shot for the center of the green then played it safe to finess a 70-foot putt within 2 feet of the cup. He finished the day off with a 2-under 70 and at age 44 became the oldest winner of Arnold Palmer's tournament.
Vijay Singh returned to No. 1 in the world but he couldn't care less. A disturbing trend has started for Singh as last week, Singh missed a 2½-foot par putt on the second playoff hole in the Honda Classic to lose to Padraig Harrington.
The second straight week, Singh had to watch someone else pose with the trophy.
