Phil Michelson didn't need to make a shot all week, he was so dominant that he didn't even break a sweat. Mickelson became the only wire-to-wire winner in the 68-year history of the tournament, never letting anyone get closer than four shots and closing with a 1-over 73 for his second straight dominant victory on the PGA Tour. Last week Phil won by five shots in Phoenix, the largest margin of his career and this week he led by seven shots at the start of the final round at Pebble Beach and finished with a four shot lead. The only thing Mickelson didn't do was set the tournament scoring record. Mickelson finished at 19-under 269, missing the record set seven years ago by Mark O'Meara. Mike Weir tried to keep it interesting, but was unable to provide us with a dramatic finish. The Canadian had the best round of the day, a 5-under 67, and got within four shots after a birdie on No. 11. Mickelson won in consecutive weeks for the first time in his career.
