The par-73 Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club is 6,737 yards from the championship tees. Shaughnessy is a well-treed parkland style 18 hole championship course overlooking the mouth of the Fraser River and Strait of Georgia. The club has hosted many Canadian and Pacific Northwest championships and in 2005 hosted the PGA Tours Bell Canadian Open, featuring the world’s best PGA Tour golfers Shaughnessy Golf and Country club offers superior training facilities. There are seven teaching professionals on staff, including Bruce Murray, who has been honored as a Master Professional, a very distinctive and highly selective honor. The course offers views of the Pacific Ocean and Vancouver International Airport. The challenging terrain was host to the Royal Canadian Golf Association Training Camp in 1999 and also garnered the ranking of #7 in Score Magazine's "Top 50" Canadian golf courses in 1998. The signature hole is #18, a 439-yard, par 4, featuring an uphill approach into the wind to the green, which is well-protected by bunkers.
