The par 73, 7,263-yard Plantation Course, is the course of the champions, site of the PGA TOUR Mercedes Championships each January featuring an elite field of previous year's PGA TOUR winners. This award-winning resort was named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1998 list of "Gold Medal Resorts" which features three outstanding eighteen hole courses. In 1998 "GOLF Magazine" selected it to their 1998 list of "Top 10 PGA Courses You Can Play." The Plantation Course is a links-style design and the longest of the three courses. This course was built on the natural contour of the land. "GOLFWEEK" afforded this course 52nd out of "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1997, 79th for 1998 and 88th for 1999. "GOLF Magazine" selected it 26th on its 1998 list of "Top 100 Courses You Can Play In The U.S." The grand scale of the course designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore unfurls across natural geographic formations and pineapple plantation fields that take your breath away.
