Eslinger won the Outland Trophy as the top linemen in the nation, but was not anywhere close to being the best senior offensive lineman. Eslinger's foot quickness, flexibility and athletic ability are what have enabled him to be a productive college center despite being undersized. Consistently gets off the ball and into blocking position before the defensive tackle. Has the rare playing speed to be able to pull and lead block on outside runs.
