Round six has found a few gems over the years at the National Football League (NFL) draft weekend. Don't forget players like Terrell Davis, (Broncos, 196th overall in 1995), Shannon Sharpe, (Broncos, 192nd overall in 1990), and Terance Mathis (6th round, 1990) just to name a few players who were passed over for the first five rounds. The merit of a teams scouting staff really starts to show as the great teams find quality players in the later rounds of the draft. To be successful in the National Football League you must have a top notch scouting system. The NFL draft is exciting and it is a testament to the great product the NFL puts on and off the field!
